International supply chains will remain strained through the summer of 2026. In addition to already extended ocean freight transit times, extensive construction work, capacity bottlenecks, and operational restrictions on the European rail network are currently creating additional challenges for the onward transport of containers.

In particular, key connections to and from major European seaports are affected. Restrictions on various rail lines, as well as reduced capacity in the port regions of Hamburg and Bremen, may lead to longer transit times and short-term delays.

For our current ocean freight shipments, we currently have to expect a transit time of about 70 days. In addition, there may be delays in the onward transport of containers within Europe. Therefore, we are planning our procurement and reorders with correspondingly longer lead times.

For our customers, this means: Ordering and planning early on are more important than ever. Especially for seasonal items, new products, and larger orders, we recommend planning your product needs as early as possible.
