Changes to the shipping route

We would like to inform you about current developments in the Red Sea area that have a significant impact on maritime traffic.

Due to increased attacks on merchant ships, including the "MSC Palatium III", shipping companies such as MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM and Hapag Lloyd have decided to temporarily suspend passage through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal.

As a safety measure, these shipping companies are now rerouting their ships via the Cape of Good Hope. This leads to an additional transit time of at least 15 days.

The extended routes are associated with increasing freight costs due to the changed routing, and war risk surcharges are levied for the affected routes.

The extended delivery routes and the upcoming Chinese New Year will unfortunately put pressure on supply chains again.

We therefore recommend that you place your order the coming season as soon as possible.
Of course you can choose a later delivery date.
